‘Democratic Society’ festival to be organized in Tuzluçayır 2025-09-04 10:11:52   ANKARA – People’s Democratic Congress (HDK) and Democratic Alevi Association (DAD) will organize “Democratic Society and Peace Feast” on 7 September in Tuzluçayır neighbourhood of Mamak.   There will be discussions and presentations on the Peace and Democratic Society Process. Children's workshops will be organised, book and magazine stands will be set up. Artists Ercan Bingöl, Edip Gözeger, Hıdır Çelebi and Murat Yılmaz will perform.   ‘BUILDING COMMON LIFE’   Rohat İnal, a member of HDK Youth Assembly, said that they wanted to bring together all segments of society at the festival. “With the festival, we aim to socialise peace and bring the society together with peace,” he said.    Pointing the importance of the Tuzluçayır for the socialists, İnal said: “Tuzluçayır is the place where the Kurdish movement started and its foundation was laid. Therefore, we invite everyone in Tuzluçayır to our festival. We will talk about the process and how to build a democratic society.”
