Mazloum Abdi and Ilham Ahmed meet al-Sharaa

NEWS CENTER –Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) General Commander Mazloum Abdi and the Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria Co-Chair Ilham Ahmed meet with Syrian Transitional Government President Ahmed al-Sharaa.

The meeting in Damascus, which was also attended by Foreign Minister Esad al-Shaybani and Presidential Representative Ziyad al-Ayish, addressed the issue of completing the process of integration into state institutions. 
 
The parties assessed methods for advancing the institutional and military dimensions of integration, developing coordination mechanisms, and implementing this process in a phased manner.  
 
Sources close to the Syrian Interim Government reported that technical issues, particularly regarding enhancing inter-institutional coordination and monitoring integration steps, were highlighted during the meeting. 
 
Following the conclusion of the talks, Mazloum Abdi and Ilham Ahmed returned to North and East Syria after concluding their meetings in Damascus.
