A citizen who played an Ahmet Kaya song at a çiğköfte shop in Bursa was subjected to a racist attack by another person. The attacker entered the shop, recorded the incident on a mobile phone and shared the footage on social media. The identity of the attacker has not been established.

The attacker is heard saying: “Where are you from? Are you playing a Kurdish song? I could smash your head through the window, but I’m not doing it so that you understand the reality. Don’t play this, or you’ll lose your livelihood. I’ll tear this stall apart and bury you there. If we live in the Republic of Turkey, you can’t play the song of someone says ‘we are Kurds until death, we have missed Apo' at full volume in the middle of Bursa. If you do, there will be trouble.”
