AMED – Xwebûn newspaper editor Nafiye Bal was detained in a raid on her home.

 

Nafiye Bal, editor of the weekly Kurdish newspaper Xwebûn, was detained in a raid on her home at noon. Bal, who was taken to Diyarbakır Provincial Police Department, was sent to the courthouse after procedures were completed. Bal's statement is expected to be taken.
