18 arrests in IBB investigation

ISTANBUL - 18 of 52 people detained in the second operation against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality were arrested. 
 
The testimony procedures of 52 people, who were detained on 26 April within the scope of the investigation launched against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) due to "corruption" allegations, were completed yesterday. While 18 of them were arrested, 34 of them were released on judicial control conditions.
 
Among those arrested are Dilek Kaya, İmamoğlu's brother Cevat Kaya, Bakırköy Deputy Mayor Ali Rıza Akyüz, IBB Bosphorus Zoning Manager Elçin Karaoğlu, Assistant General Managers of Culture Inc. Onur Aldı and Erdinç Çolak, Assistant Advertising Manager of Culture Inc. Hakan Karaköse, businessperson Mete Mağden, IBB Engineer Yakup Öner, IBB Expropriation General Manager Fatih Özçelik, IBB IT Department Head Naim Erol Özgüner, İSTTELKOM Inc. General Manager Melih Geçek and Imamoğlu's protection personnel Çağlar Türkmen.
