WAN – As the Iran-Israel war enters its 11th day, East Kurdistan-based political analyst Rizgar Roşanî stated that the Iranian regime is on the brink of collapse or overthrow. He emphasized that at such a historic turning point, Kurdish political forces must act responsibly and in coordination to safeguard the national interests and fundamental rights of the Kurdish people.
Roşanî described the ongoing war as a process of reshaping the Middle East: “Israel, with U.S. support, seeks to consolidate its strategic superiority against Iran and Turkey. Iran’s nuclear program and military capacity are direct targets in this regional redesign.”
‘ISRAEL AIMS TO TOPPLE THE REGIME’
Roşanî noted that Iran’s ideological stance, denying Israel’s existence and supporting proxy groups, has undermined regional stability. “This is the core reason behind Israel’s pre-emptive strikes. If it cannot halt Iran’s nuclear program, Israel aims to provoke internal instability and weaken the regime from within,” he said.
ROJHILAT TRANSFORMED INTO A DEFENSE BELT
He added that Israel’s strikes have concentrated on East Kurdistan (Rojhilat) and Tehran, while Iran has turned its western territories into “security belt”. Roşanî said: “This region now functions as a frontline defence against Israeli air attacks. Iran’s missile response, though unexpected, proved that Tehran retains considerable deterrence capacity.”
‘CRISIS DEEPENS, REPRESSION INCREASES’
Roşanî pointed out that continued warfare is exacerbating domestic hardship: “Basic needs such as food, medicine, and fuel are becoming increasingly inaccessible. The regime, citing threats of espionage, has launched a fresh wave of arrests in Kurdish regions.”
KURDISH ROLE IN A COLLAPSING STATE
Stating that securing Kurdish rights is vital amid regime collapse, Roşanî said: “Kurdish forces must adopt an active, responsible, and unified stance. PJAK has declared neutrality in the war and holds the regime accountable for triggering the conflict. It has also declared readiness to protect the Kurdish people in case of a power vacuum.”
‘UNITY AMONG KURDS IS A STRATEGIC NECESSITY’
Emphasizing the strategic importance of intra-Kurdish unity, Roşanî said: “PJAK believes protecting the community’s identity and rights requires consensus, coordination, and comprehensive cooperation among Kurdish parties. This approach not only advances national aspirations but also sets a model for responsible crisis governance.”
‘OCALAN’S FRAMEWORK IS KEY TO PEACE’
Highlighting Turkey’s non-interventionist stance, Roşanî drew attention to Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s peace message: “Öcalan’s framework emphasizes ending violence, respecting human rights, and recognizing Kurdish self-determination. It offers a powerful reference for peaceful political dialogue.”
He concluded: “If the Turkish government moves toward political dialogue with Kurds, it could reduce domestic tensions and strengthen national security. Simultaneously, it would limit foreign interference and pave the way for a stable, multipolar Middle East.”
